Who We Are

Our Roots

ASA SPE Youth Development Foundation abbreviated as "SPE," is a non-profit organization based in Canada, with its origins in Prince Edward Island (PEI). What started as a club primarily composed of members from PEI and moved to Toronto in 2021, originated from the Canada Asia Group, and has grown into a national and international organization with members from various countries such as Canada, China, Japan, Germany, and more.

Since its establishment in 2017, SPE has been dedicated to fostering the inner drive and holistic development of youth. At SPE, we firmly believe that the building blocks for youth growth lie in the development of a mindset focused on three essential elements: Social, Positive, and Emotional.

S - Social: We recognize the importance of cultivating social skills and promoting meaningful connections among young individuals. Through community engagement, networking events, and collaborative projects, we strive to nurture the social development of youth, allowing them to develop strong interpersonal relationships, enhance their communication abilities, and build a sense of community.

P - Positive: Positivity is fundamental to personal growth and success. At SPE, we emphasize fostering a positive mindset among youth. Through motivational workshops, inspirational speakers, and positive reinforcement, we acknowledge the advantages of youth and empower young individuals to grow their strengths to overcome challenges, embrace opportunities, and achieve their goals. Our goal is to cultivate a positive outlook that enables youth to face life's obstacles with confidence and determination.

E - Emotional: Emotional intelligence plays a pivotal role in personal and social development. We focus on nurturing emotional intelligence in youth, helping them develop self-awareness, empathy, and effective interpersonal skills. Through workshops, counselling, and mindfulness exercises, we equip youth with the emotional intelligence necessary to navigate relationships, manage stress, and make informed decisions. By fostering emotional intelligence, we provide a strong foundation for personal and social success.

In line with our vision of empowering young individuals and making a positive impact, ASA SPE Youth Development Foundation has launched the World Pacer project. World Pacer consists of a series of journeys across the globe, aimed at partnering with non-profit organizations, engaging in volunteer work, and fundraising to support local communities. Over the course of five years, World Pacer will lead eight magnificent odysseys spanning six continents and visiting approximately 50 countries with diverse cultures. Accompanied by experienced youth assessors and leaders, the World Pacers will conduct various public welfare activities at each destination, creating a platform for youth to develop their self-esteem, leadership skills, and a sense of social responsibility.
